  Bhakti Boomers

  In the Hindu culture many speak of the different phases or "ashrams" of life. We begin in our early years becoming educated and gaining skills of survival and values to live by. In the middle phase we are involved in close relationships, perhaps marriage and raising children, working, collecting possessions and basically being a "householder". The last phase has been described as "going out into the jungle". The focus becomes being one with God, Universe, Divine Mother or a time of contemplation and completion. I am one of many seekers out there who are aging and exploring "going out into the jungle" and struggle with letting go, moving on and learning how to die. Not to sound morbid but it is inevitable. How do we let go of the fears and feel safe in this next realm of our consciousness? What have you learned about where to go, how to do it and recognizing your real desires and facing the fears. There's a lot going on in my head about making many decisions. We are "Still Here" and still learning. This is a chance to discuss, support and share our journeys into the jungle.
